Thank you Caroline! Vito has been practising hard by sleepig and running fast in our yard. But now he has to stay very calm for few days. He hurt himself when we were running in the forest yesterday and now he has three stiches in her fore chest. A stick went trought his chest all the way to his armpit, but luckily the whole stick came out by itself. Vito is feeling much better now, but he is still under painkillers... Poor boy!

Vito's mom got nice points too, she was fifth at the same class where Taisto was third (and it' was Nimda's first competition) and she also got CQ. Vito's dad has three Lure Coursing CC:s, but he has had some injuries and that's why he hasn't been doing much running lately. I'm really looking foreward to see how Vito runs, he is already very interested of the lure.

Lure Coursing isn't so popular in Finland, I think that is mostly because people are worried about the possible injuries. We can't see many "show-lined" Whippets in the competitions, most Whippets who compete are bred only for running. I'm one of the few "show" breeders who's dogs competes in Lure Coursing. In last competition we had 40 Whippets and 11 of those we from kennels who breed mostly for showing, four of them were my dogs. I like to compete and my dogs love it, and they have never had any injuries, even though they all have their dew claws on. ) People do appreciate dogs who do well in Lure Coursing, it's the only sport for sighthounds allowed in Finland, if you don't count track racing. Hunting with sighhounds isn't allowed, but I know that my Whippets would like to have a little bite of a real rabbit.

Actually with the price of petrol today , if these judges were judging in Scotland and I d decided to stay over night , the cost would be about the same as flying to SWEDEN and going to the [SIZE=21pt] TAMMSVIK [/SIZE]show and staying 3 nights there :- "

AND , Im seeing dogs Ive NEVER seen before ( couldnt give a monkeys about whose judging anyway )
