Please say a prayer for Wiliam tonight. He is at the vets having an xray on his shoulder.

This aftenoon William escaped on to the main road outside our house straight into the path of a car.The car wasn't going as fast as they usualy do on our road but it roled him over and he skidded down the road on his back .He has superficial cuts all over him but the main thing is he will not put any weight on his front leg.

My vet is away so it is the locum that is seeing to him I am now waiting for them to ring with the results of the xray. Hopefuly he will not need surgery but if he does I am praying he will be ok to wait till Monday when my vet will be back .Nothing against the locum but I trust Pat to do the best he can for my dogs he has whippets and lurchers of his own

I will hold my hands up and admit it was my fault I am normaly very strict about doors being kept shut I thought the door was shut but it obviosly wasn't and William is now paying the price for my carelessness. I just don't know what I will do if anything is seriously wrong with him. The vet says he doesn't think there is any internal bleeding and he hadn't gone into shock so we're hoping he is going to be okas William is a big wus and will make the most of anything

I will be thinking of you and William and hope everything goes well with xray. :luck: :luck:
