Last week it was Archie that cut the pad of his foot, this Saturday it was Willow's turn to get hurt. Hopefully not to serious.

One of the kids were petting her and realised their was blood on their hand. Bless her, she just let them pet right over where she was hurt.

She has a round wound, about the size of my little finger nail on her left side. I'm thinking it's probably a cut from her walk today.... but it's at the one spot that took the longest to heal up after her amputation, so I'm a little worried it could be linked to that - even though it was back in October when she had the op.

I might just pop her down to the vet in the morning so they can have a look. Meanwhile, it's back out with the hibiscrub and wound wahing time again. *sigh* Does there ever come a time in dog ownership that doesn't involve patching them up again?

er no! always doing it! sorry you are going through such a time at the min, hugs to all of you :huggles: :huggles:

Thanks. :)

Not really ahving a hard time of it. The recent injuries are fairly minor ones really. Just at this stage, after all we had been through the first few months, I'd hoped for a bit more "plain sailing".

Ah well, keeps it from getting boring, doesn't it! 8)

oh yes , keeps us busy and stops us relaxing for too long! someone has an signature saying dogs have owners whippets have staff, sooooooooooooo true!!! :D

awwww, poor willow. :( bandage her up and give her a cuddle. :huggles: hope shes allright and it isnt the wound opening up :luck: :luck: :luck:

Poor Willow :( Get Well.

dont they seem to go through stages - I had two limping for a week - touch wood they seem ok at the moment.

My daughter reminded me that Willow slipped a little coming down a steep bank of the stream out on our walk, she must have done it then. Honestly, I half thought about putting her coat on before we went out.... wish I had now. It's great for protecting her when she falls racing around.

Not a whimper or a complaint out of her at any stage. If it was Archie he would have been squealin the whole way home, lol.
