re Blue Boy he stromed that final didn't he. A magic win and yes it is great to see a non racing bred whippet taking a group. So that is now North West Champion AND National Vet Champion Blue Boy to you and me. Otherwise now known as Sir Coisty. :thumbsup:WELL DONE to all the dogs who did their owners proud yesterday and CONGRATULATIONS to all those who gained their NPWRA titles and half coats. Despite not having a dog to run this time we had a lovely day, 'catching up' with folk and watching great racing with some very close finishes.
Top marks to Keelan on the photo finish and to the little lad on the quad bike, - both these youngsters worked non-stop all day with such professionalism and good humour!
The 'special moment' for us was watching the Blue Gangs' Coisty (Blue Boy) win the Veterans 6-7 yrs. Old N/E 32lbs. group, - flying the flag for all the non-racing bred dogs that most of us begin racing with. Mandy and Derek looked just about set to burst with happiness!
Last but not least, thank you Maureen for the DELICIOUS bread pudding! )
Some racing photos to come once we have sorted them all out.

A great effort, she always does her best and at least she's come off sound.. except for s skinned stopper..this was probably her retirement outing... at nearly ten, I think its probably time to hang up her running shoes, even if she doesnt!!
Poor Guinea making her run up the track like that when most of her life is spent under the duvet snoozing and being ladylike. Woody will be glad that she is now a duvet dog like him the little red folks with the (white faces ) have to have lots of snoozing under duvets it is their due after all.Well done Nationals for putting on a good champs.Happy retirement to your girl Gill.Had a really good day at the Nationals, well done comittee and all workers for a really well run day.
