What is it with whippets ears. Our pup at 11 weeks had one ear that went in the same direction as the other - looked abit like my car windscreen wipers, then after couple of weeks hey presto nice normal ears. Then the teeth started falling out everywhere at 5 months, at 6 months we have one ear that is permantly up with the tip flopping backwards( has anyone seen that before !) and just last week the other ear was obviously wanting to follow so we have two ears that stick up with tips flopping backwards. Will this be permanent position or do I expect some other weird and wonderful positions - will put some pictures up next time for a laugh! He looks like a fruit bat as ears look enormous

His ears can be held back but not when he is listening or watching something.

Any ideas?

Whippet puppy ears are just great

My puppy has gone through lots of different ear combinations . She is 7 months now and most of the time they are fairly normal sadly :D

The ears really are something to behold aren't they. Gracie's ears have always been of little rose shaped perfection, bobbing gently as she trots around in her graceful and ladylike way. However, one of Milo's (aged 16 weeks today), has decided to lay at right angles across his head so that the tip of his ear points towards his other ear. It gives him the air of a mad professor or someone that's just been let out for the day! Needless to say, it makes him all the more

adorable.

Bandit is 8 years old and some times carries his ears folded forward. He looks like he has cow horns.

I can remember the first time we went to crufts with a dog and Bandit went round the ring with his bull ears on. :teehee:

I think it takes a while for them to grow into their ears. This is my favourite pic of Grace at 7 months:

My little man had an ear like that when we first got him. It just adds character to a beautiful face
