Worried about leaving my dog at the vet

2 days ago my year old bull dog got into the trash I'm not sure what she ate maybe some rotten meat or something but she started behaving strange sticking to my side (more so then usual) and laying around yesterday she started puking none stop could hardly move would not eat but would drink sometimes anyway this morning I took her to the vet and she had to stay the night maybe a few days she didn't seem. To bad when I left her but she is my shadow I never crated her or even left her for a night before my dog is my world, the vet is saying so far she looks okay but my biggest fear is her missing me, tomorrow if I cannot take her home I would still like to see her I'm wondering if that is a good idea or not(it will probably be worse on me to be honest) she also has nightmares she's been getting since she was a month old and every time she has one she wakes up and come right to me I'm scared this will happen and she will panic when she realizes I'm not there for her does anyone have any advice for me

I would advise you don't see her until you can bring her home as this could actually make things more stressful for her. Vet nurses are brilliant and they will be with her all the time keeping an eye on her and calming her down if she gets upset. You best plan of action is to just make a big fuss of her when she comes home. Hope she's home soon.
