Yapping on walk

When we start our walk, for the first 100 yards my dog yaps and gets all excited, then he simmers down as we get nearer the woods as he knows he is let of the lead, now he gets 3 to 4 walks a day about 3/4 hour long.

Do all dogs get excited or is it just my dog.

The good thing is at home he is as silent as a lamb.

i would say hes happy excited and pleased he going out. if the yapping aint bad he might grow out of it.

Awww, I love those little traits they have... :lol:

Mine do that as soon as they see the leads come out - we could walk them 100 times a day and they would still do it! :lol:
