:'( oh Jenny, that's lovely. How wonderful. Tearjerking but in such a happy, lovely way!

:huggles: to Dylan and Sparky

What a lovely story - congratulations to all three of you, they look like lovely boys

A lovely story Jenny, you must be very proud of your boys

Thats a lovely story Jenny ,

Maybe Sparky could feel that you too were a little apprehensive alone with him in the ring , giving what happened in the past  , but with Dylan there too , you felt more confident

Good ol` Dylan :huggles:

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. I think we have more or less come to the conclusion that showing is perhaps a step too far for Sparky but he can just enjoy being himself and we can maybe attend the odd companion show with him where he and Dylan can maybe have another bash at brace. The prizes were tremendous and just for their class we received a whopping big bag of food, rosette, card and shield.

For a time during the afternoon Dylan was leading his heat of fastest recall, the dogs had to return to a square and Dylan kept sidetstepping the square, standing by the side of it , we lost out to a very clever border collie who returned spot on to the square every time. I did ask the man if I could sit in the square and Dylan would be bound to return to me, but he said he was doing remarkably well for a whippet which we took as a compliment.

All in all a wonderful day out and the money raised went to a very worthy cause. The deerhound who went BIS had the most beautiful movement, oh I do love deerhounds.

How did I miss this!! My goodness what a star Dylan is and how wonderful that the bond between them was strong and close enough for Sparky to feel relaxed and enjoy himself :huggles:
