I was asking myself what people on K9 do (i'm new here) so i've started this poll.

Gunda is an ex-racer. She's to old now.

Spriet is also an ex-racer, but because she has (had) an blessure* we decided to stop racing with her.

Anne

* Something on her toe that's not OK

William is a show bred greyhound . I don't show him a lot as we don't get the classes at open shows I have to put him Not Separately Classified and tend to be against small dogs in a small ring with judges that don't know what to make of him  We go to mostly champ shows with him .He has been to crufts twice getting 3rd the first year and 4th the second year and he has now qualified for next years crufts

My Molly is a rescue, and is now 13. Her only sport nowadays is killing her yellow squeaky ball. :D

Flora was a rehome from a local kennel...

she now has a job as full time sofa attendant and official cuddle

both of which she excels at

Both of mine are ex-racers. Freddie is Official Guardian of the Sofa and Claire is the Scourge of all Cats!

Two of mine are rescues.

The other i got from Ellesmere Port dog track, given to me free as he just wasn't fast enough for the owner.

He was only 10 months old so not really given a chance.

He is now 2 1/2 years old.

I wouldn't race him now as he is such a happy family pet along with the others.

Hello!

I started with an ex racing greyhound, he was rescued at the age of 5 years.

Now two greyhounds out of show lines live with us, the male was bred in Austria and my girl was imported from Italy.

Greetings from Austria

Christina

I voted when this poll was started to say I had a show greyhound William but now I have an ex racer too. Button came to us through her owner and trainer in Great Yarmouth .I saw her advertised for sale and OH had said if I had another greyhound it have to be a black bitch with long white socks and so Button arrived.

my first greyhound was ex-racer/cousre she was great and I started to show her in her older years.

Now I have a show greyhound how is mad as a hatter, and very big :- "

My 2 are rescued ex-racers and cuddle monsters
