:p This weekend I should have been drawing dalmations.... but couldn't get you-know-who out of my head! Sooooo..... based on one of the photos TA NAAA - the boy is a sitter before he's home  :p :b

This is an impressionistic sketch painting. I played around with the proportions to make him look younger and more rounded compared to the finished adult. The folds on his thighs are exaggerated too to make him look really babyish. I loved the way he kept looking at Jan (who seemed to be the light in his wee world!!! ) so I kept that position. I kept to classical earth colours too, in honour of the traditional paintings of IGs, but who knows about the future - maybe a collage Italian!!!!

Not sure if it's finished so unsigned (w00t) (but still copyright!)

I LOVE that!

I actually much prefer the looser impressionistic style - and I really like unfinished looking paintings! Earth colours are really pleasing too! :p

YUM!!! :teehee:

Lovely ......I love his expression. Just right.

Me too ditto, it's lovely. You are very talented!

I tried to say this in server change over, but it wouldn't let me

That is a fantastic picture, and just captures the Zoomster's expression beautifully. Where is the portrait going to live??????

:p I'm not sure - I seem to be starting a bit of a rogue's gallery!

I'm just negotiating an exhibition for next summer but the Zoomster's painting will probably be Not For Sale... ;)
