Big thanks to all the helpers for working together and pulling off a fab champs. The rest of the commitee, Keith, George, Tony & Mark on the traps, Darren & his sidekick Mick on the trip, Geoff on the clock, Tommy for mucking in, Rod & Louise another busy day for them, Dave on the camera (how many races went to a photo (w00t) ), Jac photo's and lastly Malcolm for his generous sponsorship as always.

Anyone wanting DVD's of the days racing that didn't order them, if you let me know i'll get some more ordered. They're £6 delivered, anyone who ordered on the day, Dave said they should be with you by Tuesday, must say they're the best quality video's i've seen in racing.

Well done to all who put the work in with thier dogs and got the reward by way of a title --also those who ran and were not so fortunate----- Special congratulations to all Lacaster wrc dogs---and owners Mick /Lynne /Darren/Ashley / Plus

All from Westhoughton/Astley-Tilsley--

and of course i am really chuffed that Albert/Greta with He,s The Pitts got yet another title --

By all accounts those who were casting doubts about condition of track prior to this event were proved to be without foundation

Rod and Louise take great pride in thier track and extra work is done without any problem to insure things are right for us --many thanks to them gradely folk without any doubt at all

There are no other track owners in this country that will do more for whippet racing --but reading negative remarks on these websites must make them wonder why they bother at all/

Joe at Easington told me himself he felt let down many a time -

Cannot believe I forgot to put Well Done  to all the workers yesterday, but will blame it on the traffic jam we sat in on the M1 coming home  bet me mate's still in bed  As for the track surface, thought it was spot on and proof of that was in the great races on show.Best races of the day for me,are always the close ones.None more so than Wor Black/Ruby Murray, thought Julie was gonna have a heart attack :lol:plus the others than went to a photo :sweating: Just love it when it's a close race

Oh dear Rob, I hope both dogs are feeling better soon. It must have been a killer to know your dog is due to run in one of the most anticipated races of the season but  to them for putting the health of everyone elses dog first :)) .

It's been one of those years, I'm sat here with 2 vets (20b/24lb) and an adult(30lb) that I was planning on bringing but things were against me too and after Blaze's c-section/spay I decided to stay at home and take care of her  .

Here's looking forward to the rest of the year, after a slow start to the year may everyone enjoy a long and prosperous straight season with few injuries and even less illnesses o:) .
