Thanks Tomgregn. I'll take another look but this does sound quite expensive. We currently use a high quality kibble but only works out to about £1 per day!
Pleasure! Out of interest what kibble is it if you do not mind me asking?

Not at all. We use Canagan. We've also introduced raw chicken/duck wings a couple of times a week and also pilchards once a week. Our dog seems to really enjoy the variety.

Thanks Peegee, that sounds like a really nice diet! I may look at introducing some wings to my boys diet as well.

Can those of you that feed Gentle tell me how you store it? I see the website says not to store in an airtight container. How would I stop things getting in to it? I live on the edge of the countryside so mice might be attracted if they can smell it. I'm also concerned about storage beetles etc. Plus I invested in some really nice wheeled storage tubs years ago and would like to use them if possible. There would be a reasonable gap at the top of the tub so some air would be in there with the bag - they are big tubs.

I would like to give this good a try but if I can't keep it secure then I'm not sure I can.

I'm new to Gentle, but I just keep mine in the paper-based sack it comes in in our garden shed.  It's not been attacked by rodents - yet!  With your storage containers, could you not drill some small holes in it towards the top to promote air circulation?  Just thinking out loud....

Storage beetles - you've worried me, what are these?

Thank you for replying. Storage beetles are little brown things about 3mms long. Mice are the least of the problem for us. We have foxes, rats, woodmice, voles ,shrews and every flaming insect known to man in our garden shed!

I could as you suggest bore holes in one of the containers to let air circulate, that might be a solution, thanks.

Thanks for that.  Sounds like you have a fair mix of wildlife there!  I hope you come to a workable solution.  It might even be worth asking Gentle themselves for advice.

I store mine in a plastic container (not with a sealed lid) indoors.
