I just came across this and thought it looked great! Has anyone done this? or seen this anywhere?
Beginners guide to canicross - Cani-Fit

Yes, and I bought a canicross belt and lead as recommended on here by @JoanneF, but it was for a different reason. I'm not fit enough for canicross :D

Yes, there is a group near here who had posters up in one of our forestry commission walking routes, advertising introductory sessions. Not my thing though!

Oh wow - sounds good! I do enjoy running and Dennis really enjoys it to. It's just his body doesn't feel the same way anymore, so he can't come with me now :(

Hi, maybe take a look at Facebook for local canicross groups. From what I've found, it's not all as serious as that photo seems to make out. Basically, it's just a group of people going out for a jog with their dogs.... :)

thanks @GreyLee I will have a look! will have to borrow a dog!

The local group to me (Basingstoke) are pretty friendly so I would assume most wouldn't mind if you went for a jog with them anyway :) . Why not ask; "mad dog lady wants to have a go at canicross, mind if I tag along" - or something like that :) :)

A friend of mine does it on a regular basis around Surrey and West Sussex. Her dogs were not so good in the beginning so she used to borrow dogs. I would have done it maybe 20 years ago lol

Ahh, just seen the date on this, did you get to try it?

I think it looks brilliant- though with our current working spaniel I wonder how much time I'd spend on my face or wrapped round a tree, as in 'Oh let's dive in here after this rabbit...oh you appear to be lying in the brambles now! Why?'

I still randomly find threads that I think 'ooh that's interesting' and go to comment, but have learnt now to look at the date of post first!:D.. I am just rubbish at remembering my way round, if I go in a building I lose my sense of direction, there is no hope for me!!

I do agility and I find it difficult sometimes to remember the course - although I am improving:D
