Just a note to say hello, looks like a friendly and useful forum, so we'll go have a look round :)

Welcome to the forum :)

Hi there... do tell what dogs are in your family ? Murphy us an only dog and hes two..

Hi guys, we are currently waiting on a home check for a rescue dog in Cyprus. Very excited and nervous! She will be our first dog for us as a couple but we both grew up with dogs.
Murphy is a beaut! :emoji_blue_heart:

Hi- but c'on...where are your dogs?:)

Best of luck with your import pup! I've had a Greekie who turned out well after a shaky start. I think such dogs are less experienced in being inside in a home. The first night we had ours he disappeared into the garden as it got dark and disappeared. We were terrified- no sign- then my OH found him under the beech hedge where he'd dug himself a den and settled in for the night. It took cheese to get him back inside! (Feta of course).

Thank you Merlina. That’s sad, and funny. Feta! The girl we have reserved is just a baby and will be in the rescues kennels over there until she is old enough to fly so hopefully she won’t feel the need to make her own den outside. It does make you wonder what some of these poor pups have gone through though

So yesterday was emotional. We found out we had passed the home check, that our little rescue girl would be flying in 2 weeks (rather than after Christmas as we were expecting!) and we decided not to leave her sister behind so they are both coming to live with us!

Think we’re in for a rather costly 2 weeks getting everything we need.

Can’t wait for them to be out of the kennel and into some soft beds

oh what great news.. Hope it all works out for you.. Looking forward to seeing the photos..

Aww I love that you are taking her sister also  best of luck and can't wait to see some photos!

Emma, the black and tan was the one we were initially adopting. Katy is now coming too. Not the best picture as it’s just a screen shot from a video we were sent.

What an amazing story, hope it all goes well.

As a first timer myself must also say you’re in for a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows. Stick with it and all will pay off.

It’s like being a kid waiting for Christmas’s isn’t it!?

They are both beautiful x what lucky little ladies they are :)
Good luck with them.
