Everytime Rosie is left in my bedroom she runs all over the bed and round the room, when i tell her No she just carries on, i keep door shut while at work cos she scratched at mattress after pulling quilt etc off and put hole in it (its only 3mths old)
How can i deter her from doing this Rosie is 14nths old, i take her for run around with ball at least 4 times a day before and after work for at least 30mins each time

Do you need to leave her in your bedroom? From what you say I'm assuming you're not shutting her in there, is that right? My dog only goes in my bedroom under supervision because he very energetically digs down through the quilt to make a nest to sleep on.

Teaching a dog what NOT to do isn't easy, particularly when they're young, and I've never found 'No' effective. Management, distraction and teaching a non-compatible behaviour (e.g. when she goes in your room she gets a reward for lying on HER bed) work much better. I'd also aim for a good 'off' command, and a good recall - again, taught positively, with rewards - so it'll be easier to get her off the bed without fuss when she jumps on it.

I dont shut her in my bedroom but at times she just wanders in there, esp as its been nice i have left door open hence when she thinks its her playground lol I live in a flat so all on one level and its nice to have air flowing through.
She sleeps on my bed at night
This is the only room she does her mad run around lol

You could try covering the bed in a heavy throw or blanket, tucking it in all round so she can't dig in it. This didn't work for me, thanks to my dog's size and long limbs, but might for a smaller dog. I think they really want to get down to sheet/mattress level as it smells so much of their favourite people!

We keep a bit of old fireguard across the doorway during the day now so the air can still circulate. I wouldn't mind if I just had to tidy the bed each night, but as well as the occasional tears, there's nothing worse than getting into bed and realising it's all gritty and muddy because the dog had been on there with dirty paws!

Dog gate up at the door ...thats what i use in the summer instead of closing doors

Same here. Baby gates on any room we need to exclude diesel from but still allow him to see what’s going on. He gets a bit narky if we’re behind a closed door and he can’t see us!
