yes it was me who answered had to edit lol i think fawn is quite common

over the last few years parti-coloured seems to be very strong compared to 30 years ago ;)

Me tooooo  Di, but my next bitch is going to be either Black, Fawn or Red. :teehee:

well i hope its fawn i love fawns with the odd bit of black and possidel blue but i recon fawns for non peds but peds seams to be brindles the most common colour

Wendy I'm suprised you haven't said that there are not enough fawns around and everyone should aim to have at least 10 of them.

i havent got 10 fawns yet lol iv only got 7 fawns 1 fawn and white 2 blacks i black and white and one yuk and white but out of 7 whippets 5 are fawn and 2 blacks lol i do like blues aswell though so yes everyone should have at least 5 dont want to push it lol

Surprised people think fawns are the most common unless they are only thinking of show dogs. I see many more partis than fawn- in fact the only fawns I've seen in real life are Siddy (who is trying to type this with me!) and Ros and Grover's dam, Cassie. I think I see more brindle and white than anything - can only think of two other blue/whites on here.

Are people just picking their favourite colours instead of the most common ones they see :- :teehee:

I never see whippets apart from my own and my vets .

I just went for the most common colour I see for sale :)

I think sherry was trying to target Non-Ped colours rather that all types of whippet, perhaps people notice a lot of fawn because we all secretly have a fawn fetish but only Wendy is brave enough to admit it.

Perhaps though fawn covers a lot of shades, red fawn, blue fawn etc.

I have one here that I would call just Red rather than Red Fawn since she is Red with a white chest and toes and very dark skin whereas another I would call Red Fawn as she has a paler skin colour and red and lighter fawn colouring (neck, underbelly, back of legs etc.) to go with her white toes. My others are 1 x brindle, 1x Red/White parti, 1x Dark Brinde parti, 1 x Blue brindle parti (with grey nose).

Incidentally my brindle and red fawn are related (Mum/daughter)

My Parti's and solid Red are related (Mum/daughters) so perhaps colour may also indicate which bloodlines are prevalent in the sport ...

yes sorry i was meaning in the non ped racing scene. and yes id still say fawn was the most common but yes im just using all fawns. i have a red fawn with white and her puppy a lighter fawn also with white on her, then i have a black with white chest, sox and tail. then i have a white & black part and finally a white & fawn parti

carol i have 3 fawns and there more fawns than anyother coulour in non peds use to be same in greyhounds but i would say theres more blacks now

i thin fawns are more popular now but i think brindles are getting more popular aswell ;)

if you have fawn, black, blue, brown then parti-colour and brindle are not colours as they are markings,

you can have blue brindle or black brindle and you can have fawn parti, black parti, blue parti.

if your talking about solid colours then i would say fawn,

but if your taking about whippets in general i would say that there are probabily more brindles and parti-colours than there are solid fawns, but as they can be any colours its kind of an unfare advantage. :b

dont care if brindels are colours or markings theres non coming here thisis a fawn black and maybe one day blue houes party or not. but nothing is nicer than a stunning red fawn. I wondre if tony would dye his hair fawn for me lol
