Need some help checking health of ancestors

Hi all! Bear with me if I'm asking stupid questions, I'm new to this...

I'm planning to get a sweet little whippet puppy and have been researching the health history of some ancestors that appear frequently in the bloodline. Two dogs, Hillsdown Fergal and Sooty Sam - both whippets from show lines and clearly very beautiful - keep coming up (though from around 8/9 generations back). However, I'm having trouble finding detailed information about any health issues they might have had, as the breed archive doesn't provide much insight.

Does anyone know how I could learn more about their health history?
