Parkers Fits..update

Parker had his blood test yesterday and we got results today.

There are a few high results and some low readings.

Can't list them cos i don't have the results here but phosphorus was wierdly low and his monocytes were high, he also had a high reading on a liver function which is borderline worryingly high.

anyway the upshot so far is that he has either some inflammation in his brain or in the tissues surrounding his brain...

He is going to have a course of steroids to treat the inflammation.

We just have to go back tomorrow to get the results of the urine sample.

its not nice when theres something wrong with them.must be such a worry for you.hope everything is sorted soon for poor parker.
 
Poor Parker, I hope they get to the bottom of this soon and it's treatable. :luck: Must be very stressful for you at the moment and Parker too, I've always felt seizures are an awful condition for a dog to suffer from, I hope they get under control soon. :luck:

Parker had a huge fit in the early hours of yesterday morning and things are rather serious now.

He is on two antibiotics,steroids and phenobarbitone,we now have to wait and see what happens but he may have early meningitis or possibly a brain tumour.

His back legs have failed him a couple of times and he's a tad wobbly today.

stressed just doesn't cover it at the moment :(

got to ring vets at four because he's worried about the back legs being a problem.

Parker isn't Parker at the moment....he doesn't seem to be able to see properly and he is a little unco-ordinated on his back legs.

The vet isn't very hopeful and it's fairly obvious Parkers' future is pretty bleak and probably quite short.

This is incredibly hard and very very sad to see such a sweet and gorgeous little dog deteriorate before your eyes.
