Bentley is doing really well, I know you are all thrilled with his progress. Of course Frankie was a good teacher :teehee:
By the way - I think he looks more like a Jaguar than a Bentley
She looks very cute!
She is show bred, so you can expect a looker when she matures :)
As was already said - they all run, so you will have fun with her, and hopefully your introduction to pedigree whippet racing will lead to a long and happy association with the sport.
Good luck :luck:
I don't know that the WCRA committee members read K9 any more, but if they do - thanks for a great days racing
Congrats to the new half coats, and a big well done to the unlucky losers - without losers, there would be no winners :)
And apologies to Gill & Joyce for mis-hearing...
Chris: this is the elephant in the room that no one speaks about. However, now you have pointed it out we can all see it!
As Derek has said, it has always been like this, and of course it IS ludicrous that a covetted title can be handed out just for turning up, rather than actually beating...
I don't normally give too much credence to rumour but I have heard that someone turned up, not on the programme and was allowed to race.
As I rang up 2 weeks ago to be told the entry was closed, the draw done, and therefore I was too late, I'd be very upset if this was true.
But it's probably...
I can only speak of the interclub meets between EA, Stanborough and Harvel, Dave - but they were a lot of fun.
Usually you would have a team of 8 from each club, and although I don't remember the exact weight groups, would be along the lines of n/e 19lb, n/e 23lb, n/e 26lb, n/e 32lb - 2 dogs...
A great days racing  Well done Dave & Sandra - Marley ran well all day.
And well done Steve & Sarah with Mad For It - he is really coming on now. Maybe the argy bargy him and Raffles had at Harvel last week has got him even Madder For It (w00t)
Speaking of Raffles - he says...
Indeed I did Les :)
The good news is that Billy is ok after 36 hours :sweating: And he probably did me a favour - otherwise it would have added to my own fat stores. And they are full enough as it is :teehee:
Great piccies Chris
Nice shots of Frankie, Bentley & Henrietta - they had to work to catch Frank who had a 5 yard start (well he IS 7) and finished in a heap.
Billy could do with more posing practice I feel :teehee:
A superb day yesterday at East Anglia - hope I'm not stealing anyone's thunder in posting first, but it was a glorious day, and the racing was excellent.
Or should I say Eggselent? All entrants were given a nice sized Easter Egg - nice one EA
I say nice one - I assume it was -...
My condolences too to Karen, Mick and family. Blade was a lovely dog, and a great part of the Bear dynasty - he will be long remembered.
This was a truly tragic event, and one we never want to see the like of again.
It brought a sharp, and not very welcome reminder that we race our dogs at a...
