Dog sled racing with whippets instead of huskys. The way forward. I've already started making mine. Demoished a garden fence panel, strapped on a white plastic chair. I'm going out now. I may be gone some time.

Viewpoints tend to be coloured by the type of dog a person generally has. For many years I raced heavy (for their size) show breds who couldn't win 150 yards even at yard/lb. Fortunately the club did do a variety of different handicaps which allowed us to win other races, but it was a long time...

I hope it is better attended than last week :- Billy ran straight. Straight at a passing terrier and tried to eat it! Fortunately the owner was quite unphased by it - not sure if the terrier was (w00t) Sarny and tea in the car park and back home again - happy days :D

Hi Chris - Harvel will affiliate again, but the Open will be completely Open. i.e. open to all dogs with either a WCRA or NPWRA passport. This was discussed at length but decided overwhelmingly to keep it as last year.

Hi Carol Please book Billy in. I'm suffering with a chest infection at the moment but I'm hopeful of being fit enough to attend on Sunday :) Tell Ray thanks for the info about dogs and pigs - they had lamb chops instead!

I'll be spending it trying to discover Billy's optimum weight! He has raced at all weights between 21lb and 24lbs and I can make a case for all of them. Obviously HE would prefer to be 26lb but then he'd have to go showing :)
