I once had a horse with bad navicular who had a desmotomy (ligaments surgically cut to release the navicular bone I think).
He lead a long and active life and finally died of old age rather than the navicular.
I hope Charlie responds to his current regime and improves very soon

Sorry to hear about Blues accident (Sorry, still think of her as Blue even after all this time!).
Sounds as if you have done everything possible for her and your prompt action has hopefully prevented any major damage or infection.

Amie has always been a early riser, more or less since she was born!
I no longer have to set the alarm cloch, as every morning at 5.30a.m she is at the bedroom door scratching to wake me up!
Only way to cure her, if I want a lay in, is to take her to bed with me! :huggles:
