He's lovely! What colour is he "officially"? I ask because I started a thread about the silver brindle colour, and some of the pics posted were quite similar to your boy..?
Beejay - wow, thank you so much, it's lovely to be able to see our little girl's relatives :) So is he FLEETWAY EBONY EDITION, as that's the name I have down as "Twinkle's" Dad?
He's a black beauty thats for sure :) We nearly chose one of his little black grandaughters, but our little one...
Ponygirl - this is where I come across as a real whippet amateur, as I'm not sure what you mean by "what's her breeding?" I know her father is Bruntsfield Playaway and her mum is Ebony Black Pearl (not sure on pre-fix, might be Vanya) and thats about it sorry!
As for names, well, we had a fox...
I have Victoria's book, and have found it very interesting. Focuses a lot on "dog psychology" in the first half, thinking how a dog thinks etc, and the 2nd half has a lot on basic training, bringing up puppy etc. I think it’s especially good if you haven’t owned a dog before, although I can see...
Thank you very much luvvlyjubbly, and she already is a stunner, bless her :D
Thank you Jax and Dusilla for the pics, I've been googling some images and silver brindle seems to be one of those colours that can vary a lot, so I guess i'll just have to wait and see :)
Hi all,
I have just had an email from my breeder confiming that out bitch puppy has been registered as a silver brindle. Is this a common colour? As I've never heard of it before, and also does anyone have any pictures of an adult "silver brindle" to give me an idea of what she might look like...
Hi,
Like you I will soon be getting my first whippet, after falling in love with my auntie's lurcher a few years ago.
I found my breeder through www.champdogs.com as someone has already suggested, and was lucky in not having to wait too long until she was due a litter. It's now only 5 weeks...
Julie D - no she's not here yet, another 5 weeks to wait, although only another 2 weeks before I can go and see her again! The wait is killing me! hehe
Thank you all for your replies :)
It's only going to cost £4 so if it is too big, I can always just sit and look at it anyway ;) ... it's too pretty! :D
It says 7" to 11" so maybe it'll do for when she's bigger, and yes, a cat collar is an excellant idea!
Thanks again.
Hi all, again,
I know I posted a similar question the other week on puppy coat size, so I'm sorry if i'm getting annoying with these type of questions! But I was wondering if you could give me a rough idea of a bitch puppys neck size at 8-10 weeks? I know it varies a lot, but an estimate would...
Thank you for all your replies - looks like Jan's Gifts is the place to go then :)
Have popped along to her site, and as as you've all said, the delivery is quick, so I think i'll wait until we've got her, then order one.
Thanks again for all the quick responses.
Hi all,
In 6 weeks time we are bringing home our first ever whippet puppy. She'll be 8 and 1/2 weeks old and I'd like to start looking for a coat and/or jumper for her, that will fit her from about 10 weeks of age, but I'm not sure at all what size I should be getting. I'd like it to be a...
