Hi everybody,
Sorry for the late response, been very busy with work.
I'm very hopeful I have found the right home for Monty.
I am now waiting for references to be sent to me and if it all goes well then Monty will go there for a 2 months trial soon.
In that time I'll see how we all adjust to...
Sorry I was out all day. I pm'ed everybody who wrote to me now (I hope  )
Thanks to the many people here who are offering help and advice
Our daily walk is about an hour long and out of that he runs freely at least 30 minutes. When I work they are always in the room with me (door is open so they can go out if they feel like it) and can always come to me for a cuddle and a bit of attention.
Thanks for the bones and the bubbles...
Thanks to everybody who gave their opinion. I do agree with a lot of what you all said. However, I'm not sure I made myself clear enough.
I do play with Monty as much as I can. I don't have a 9 to 5 job, I work and study most of my waking hours and that means that on some days (though...
We have two lovely male whippets. We live in a semi with a small garden. Our whippets are with us all day, since we both work from home.
We take them for a long walk during which they are able to run freely every day, but the rest of the day we need to work. Still, the dogs have free access to...
Hi everybody,
Did any of you ever tried www.barkingmad.uk.com ?
I'm going on holiday soon and I don't want to put my dogs through the unpleasant experience of a kennel again.
Monty came back from one last week very unhappy :(
I heard of the barking mad service and it seems like a very nice...
Monty came back for the kennel today smelling like death :x
I think it's fox droppings but I cant be sure. I washed him with dog shampoo twice but he still smells. Is there anything else that works?
I know it will go away with time but I really cant breath when I'm next to him
I found this link to the story :(

I hope something will be done to these horrible people
Thanks everyone for your comments  .
What also concerns me is that the only food he tolerates at the moment is an adult food so I'm not really sure if he gets all he needs from it. Also, it's hard to figure out how much exactly to give him as the guidelines on the bag are for an adult...
I definitely don't mind him being small. It's much more comfortable having a small whippet on your lap  .
The thing is that since the beginning Monty has a sensitive stomach and we had to change his food quite a few times which causes more problems (diarrhea) so my concern is that he...
Monty is now 5 months old. He's about 16" tall and weighs 6.7 kilos.
I have a feeling he's a bit small and thin for his age but I cant be sure since he's my first whippet  . Does it sound normal to you?
Hi everybody,
This is my first (though I'm sure not the last) whippet Monty. He's now 4 months old and adorable  .
Every time we go to the park Monty gets very sad when he sees all the other dogs running around free and happy while he has to stay on the lead.
Does anybody knows of...
