Ask for a heart scan? Or some other form of diagnostic. The vet is probably just trying to go by the symptoms your dog has presented with and prescribing till he get it right:(

Too much food because they look at you as if they are being starved! Spikes a Jack Russell but did weigh in at a very unhealthy 12.9 kg because he does pathetic really well. He now weighs a better 8.4
Looks like it’s the side effects, surely there’s something else the vet could give him, bless him, it’s awful because they can’t tell us how they are feeling, thinking of you x
I think it’s supposed to be safe, I’ve heard that they give it to cats when they have trouble weeing but as it’s an anti depressant it’s bound to have some effect on them mentally I would think.
Spike loves chicken, for a blind dog he’s a fast mover, if he’s up on the sofa the sound of the fridge opening out the kitchen gets him moving, he leaps off, doesn’t bang into anything, no doors, chairs or cupboards and hotfoots it out there just in case there maybe chicken, most of the time...
If you can take him for a long walk before going anywhere you know he’s likely to ‘go’ that might be best to try to break the cycle if you see what I mean. Don’t just think it’s because of the way he was before you had him though, we had Roxy from a pup and although she would immediately squat...
