We have exactly the same thing with Jazz. I only have to open the "Cupboard of Doom" (vetinary cupboard/treats) and she slinks away under the dining table and won't come out - even for a choc drop or two. We usually have to resort to containing ourselvs in the kitchen with the door closed, one...
