It may seem silly to you but I think it is irresponsible to be walking a bitch in full season in areas that are frequented by lots of dog walkers. I know it would make two of mine absolutely unbearable if they met an in season bitch on a walk, I also know if she were off lead they wouldn't think...
Oh no what a shame – just typical isn’t it. :(
If she is going to be on days 13-20 during the time that you are away it is very likely that she would be ‘ready’ at some point during the time you are away, which will mean it will restrict you a great deal.
Unfortunately, it will mean...
Well done to both of you – you look chuffed to bits !!
There are lots of fun shows around – I believe there are a few websites dedicated to companion shows. Also look out in the local papers and dog press too.
As for a few scars – these would not stop a dog from competing at the very highest...
As everyone has said Burns is an excellent quality complete. However, I have heard a lot of people say that it does give their dogs the runs and also that dogs drop weight on it very easily; fine if your dog does have a battle with the bulge but not so good if they are already on the skinny...
Many congratulations on the new arrivals. Really glad to see that Mum is doing ok after a difficult birth.
Sorry to hear you lost one of the boys and I hope that the other 3 continue to thrive.
Very well done on a wonderful win with Kizzy!!
Huge congrats to Madge flying the Citycroft flag; going Best Puppy in Show!
Congratulations to all those in the cards; especially the main winners; Liz and Zig, Yvonne and Sky.
Thanks Lana. This was my second appointment. A very local, tiny open show, which is just five minutes from Jo's house.
I was delighted to see my Best of Breed go Reserve Best in Show; as it was not judged on the Group system I think there were about 25 dogs in the challenge for Best in Show.
I definitely agree with Masta that feeding the guideline amounts per the packet is generally not a good idea. As a 4.5 month old puppy I wouldn’t really want to be able to see any ribs at all – they should be chubby and well covered at this age. One of the things we say on our advice sheet is...
Sounds like normal teenage dog behaviour to me. When Logan was a similar age to what Milo is now; he was a right randy little beggar – he tried it on with Holly a few times but got such a rollocking off her (which I allowed her to do) that he soon learned that it was not a good idea. Instead...
Heidi, I am so so sorry to read that you will be saying goodbye to Badger today. He couldn’t have asked for a better family; he will have had the most wonderful life with you and you are granting him one final kindness by letting him go peacefully. I know that won’t make you hurt any less...
I've just watched the news and the footage is absolutely terrifying; the speed the water is travelling and rising at is unbelievable.
I hope you all stay safe.
I'll look forward to seeing you both at NCWC Limit show at the end of the month; I'm on the committee so will make sure I come over and introduce myself.
I thought perhaps you were entered at The Whippet Club show, which is next weekend - but it's NCWC instead.
Good luck at your...
Many congratulations to the newest Champion in the breed – Tradewind Touch of Magic, Jan’s boy Whattie on his first CC and wonderful Group 2, the RCC winners and biggest congrats of all to Madge – Citycroft Could It Be Magic for Mithrandir. Jo and I are incredibly proud that Madge not only went...
Wishing you the very best of luck; it'll be very nerve wracking and exciting. Hopefully there will be other exhibitors who'll be more than happy to offer advice and last minute tips. Where abouts are you showing?
I'd recommend just sticking with your dogs age class; so just Puppy for now.
Hope...
