My greyhound had a bug this week, with a temperature of 105F. This made her sick.
Take her temp if you can. Rosie was also lethargic and felt very hot. A trip to the vets for a jab worked a treat!
Hope she is better soon

Mmmmmmmmmm Dots Hero has been on a diet! He was 6Kg over racing weight. The greedy streak must run in the family. We have to watch he doesn't finish the other dog's dinner.
I heard that their Mum died in her sleep aged 13 the year before last.

Its a very small picture but he looks gorgeous!
I met some deerhounds when I went lure coursing a few weeks ago. There was a six month pup bigger than some of the adults. There was a litter due that day, but my OH said I couldn't have one :( I was best mates with a couple of deerhounds...
Where are you going to stop Noopy! (He is gorgeous!)

PS we met at Hove ages ago. Our greyhound is brother to Micks Chips.
Has she had her first season yet? My greyhound was 4 when I brought her home and house trained her, but she always tiddled in doors when coming into season. These phases stopped after spaying.
Good Luck

Hi Wilfred
Mmmmm you might be right about the ears!
I don't remember too much of the detail, but she was a very strong speaker. Perhaps she was a bit harsh when people asked questions.
She said that if you are not enjoying walking your nightmare dog why walk it? Whenever my OH was away I...
the animal welfare groups needs every penny it can get ,they see so much suffering every day ,there are so many animals destroyed every day because there isnt enough money for vet bill etc the rspca can only spend £50 on each animal if the bill is over that the poor animal has to be destroyed i...
I went to an afternoon talk. I took some of the things on board.
Her methods obviously worked with her pack of 13 to 16 dogs, but how many of us have that many dogs?!
I thought that the talk would never end...................................

I have leather leads where the lead is permanently studded on to the collar. The other is buckled on. The only drawback is that you have to put the collar on every time you go out. This isn't such a bad thing as a greyhound collar has to be done up quite tight for a walk anyway. Their house...
We have a plastic Addis bin. When we have had visitors we find bits of rubbish in the dog food!
If you are going to store it outside I would go for a metal bin.

One of my greyhounds is sensitive to Red Mills. I just thought he had a nervous tummy for years, until I changed his diet for some reason and then he was fine.
Have to admit that dogs on Red Mills look well.

LOL
Reminds me of when we were trying to sell our last house. Potential purchasers and estate agent standing with us chatting on patio. Greyhound walks out and does the stinkiest dump ever right next to us. I kept saying "shall we go in now?" and they were all ignoring me and WHAM! it hit...
Park coursing is muzzled dogs, and a hare let out of a box. The hare has an escape route at the other end. Can't really say much more as I have only seen it on video!
