I took the wife and daughter to Kendal for a look round the shops yesterday and i had a stroll around to kill an hour or two---i was just thinking about going into a bar called the Bootleggers as i got to the narrow alley way i could see an old chap on a mobility scooter comming out so i waited...
David if your dog is a lure dog its eyes will ben firmly on lure even after race is well finished often when your walking away with dog on lead and lure boy is going back down to traps with it--

Totaly agree with 1yard infront for scratch racing giving all dogs same chance---
With regards to staggered start with there often being up to 16yards difference ----i always go behind with lure about ten yards where possible -------
that way the lure is well up to speed before last trap...

You should get Steve Bateson to pop round with the welding torch and thief proof it like he did at Lancaster its even a struggle to get in with the keys--thats in our old container on Quay Meadow track---

If we keep those happy who are new to the sport they might just bring along a friend ---who may like to get into racing
even if it is only at club level ---i think it is great for kids /families
Iwill see if i can get a key for referees cabin then we can brew up and make them even more...
if you find out that it is someone who runs whippets they should be banned from every track/club in the country and ---------------------------------------FLOGGED TO BOOT
