This is actually the bit I dread. My little whippet x is better at catching them than either of the whippets (and they are no slouches) and so far, they have all dispatched them cleanly but I know there will be a time when I shall have to do it. :x :(
Milo Eat Food, normal everyday food that I am fed and which is good for me and not:-
6 raw eggs, robbie williams Cd, Sarah's teeth retainers, dad's specs,, muzzles (too
many to mention), coats (including my brand new one which is in tatters since I got
it over my head and panicked in...
My two daughters have asked if they can have Dime and Phantom and as Tod is my fave, (look at that face :* ) could you package them up and send first class post. We need some partis in our pack and they'd do just nicely. Beautiful pups.
I'm so sad and sorry for that lovely little girl - sadder perhaps because I was going to run it by my husband to ask if we might adopt her to join our little pack. Life is so unfair, rest in peace little Eve.
Gracie is spayed now but had two seasons and, from memory, I don't think there was much difference between the two of them. She wasn't terribly fussy about cleaning herself and I resorted to knickers which she absolutely hated and was adept at pinging them off in a matter of seconds. I used to...
You have my sympathies. :( Two of mine can search out dog poo a mile off and it's not only disgusting but highly dangerous, which I have found out to my cost. Don't know whether cat poo carries the same risks but mine don't bother with that at all (or my cats do their business elsewhere!)...
My introduction to whippets was a rescue whippet X who is such a darling. We then got another rescue who had sight hound in her but what and where is anyones guess. I couldn't suppress my urge for a full whippet and got the gorgeous Gracie as a puppy. Tragicaly, we lost our...
Cheers, it hadn't been suggested and as luck would have it I have already got one for her as a Christmas present, I have stuck it in my spare room and forgotten about it. She may well get her present early :)) of course this gives me a great excuse to go out and buy her something else for...
Re keeping Mae amused, have you thought of Doggy Brain Training toys or Interactive toys? eg you hide treats within the toy and the dog has to work out how to get at the treat - usually by removing a small wooden/plastic block or moving it with its paw or nose, on a slider to reveal treat. I've...
I think I probably need to apologise to you as I recently had a rant on a post by LM1981 in the Gen Dis, Whippets. It touched a raw nerve because of what happened to me and I completely empathised with LM1981. Coincidentally, I had an upsetting incident yesterday whilst out walking .......but...
My 21 month old spayed bitch does this to our 9 month old entire dog. He is much bigger than she is, more laid back and is quietly becoming pack leader and she doesn't like it. When she does it, it is always because he has taken a toy from her or won't play with her (rare!) and you can see her...
She's a little beauty. It's never easy coming to terms with losing a much loved dog but, if nothing else, a new addition gives you something to focus on and although they never replace the missing dog, they add a whole new dimension to life. I wish you both a long and happy time together.
LM981 does get the fact but don't you think there has to be a bit of give and take, live and let live. I loath loud, screeching badly behaved children and would love to seem them muzzled and on leads but the rest of us have to put up with them and their mess - discarded sweet wrappers, dirty...
