Personally I don't see the point in training your dog with a different language for commands. Just my opinion though!

my only concerns with this agreement would be what if you fall out, one of you moves away, something happens to the dog who has final say over treatment/decision making etc Is it not possible for you to have the dog yourself and get a dog walker to come for an hour in the middle of the day then...

Maybe try interactive puzzle toys to keep him amused, or taking the poodle x to agility or dog training classes to tire him out and stimulate his brain so that he is more tired at home and hopefully give the others peace, :luck:

I don't have a whippet, know lots though and they are lovely dogs, I walk with my friend and her 2 regularly and they run off lead well, they will chase things but with decent training they come back when called, her kids were 4 and 6 when she got her dogs and they are very good with the kids...
