Angela, really sorry to hear about Pip. Not a lot i can say, it's very very sad. Take comfort in the fact that she has enjoyed a fun filled life with your family, so different from her start in life. It's so sad that it's been cut short. Thinking of you xxx The Citycroft gang send you...
The same as you'd feed your adults on a 'raw diet' - i don't think you ever mentioned just feeding mincemeat anyway.
The puppy version of wholemeal mixer, although my adults have Laughing Dog puppy anyway as they prefer it to the bigger chunks of the Terrier Mix version.
Our puppies were...
Cesc was fantastic Anne, that last run he had was really impressive. It was great to see how well some of them took to it. Washbanks Wellington was a complete newbie to it too and he did really well. I don't think Ruby would have gone at all yesterday, she had one on her that's for sure...
Colours in Whippets is a fascinating topic Fiona. They come in such a variety! The link below is a very good guide to colour.

Alfie is FAWN. Some people might call him a silver or blue fawn but FAWN will do! I bred Alfie - if...
I've got Raynaud's syndrome too and so i bloody hate winter and being freezing cold. I think i'd die without my electric blanket at night!! Im on the hunt for some new WARM winter boots so will look at the links with interest....
Don't like Halti's for the reasons already stated - riding up towards their eyes.
I used to walk my Dobe on a gentle leader and i got her one that was leather appearance but not actually leather. It worked really well and i wouldn't have liked walking her without it. She would only walk...
At my house the extension of the house belongs to the dogs (and the washing machine!) Set up in there i have a 36" crate and a large plastic basket with a bed in it. Living at my house i have a 4 year old dog, nearly 3 year old bitch and her 7 month old bitch daughter.
I don't have to lock...
I was only wondering about Alfie this afternoon. We had Frankie's first off lead walk since having the last staples out - he caught a rabbit to celebrate!
It looks like he's healing really well, not long now until he can venture out and about again. So pleased his recovery is going...
Hi Jane,
How old is Alfie? I definitely recommend more than one whippet but i wouldn't necessarily recommend having two from the same litter. I know some people have litter mates on this forum but I personally think an age gap between them is preferable. Obviously this won't be an issue if...
Thank you Lanny for that very good link. It should be easy enough to understand for the majority of people.
What's particularly of note is you so often hear people say, "that problem has come from the dogs side", for example, when in fact if it shows up, it has come from BOTH sides.
Alfie's legs looks fantastic. He is such a lucky boy to have such a great specialist vet and most importantly, a wonderful family to look after him. I feel so positive about his recovery now. We all send him our love and whippet kisses xxx
Sorry, its not that clear - are you mating one dog to your other one?
It depends on the bitch as to how long she should be kept away from other members of your canine household. Our first litter started off in a spare bedroom for the first 3 1/2 weeks. During this time the mother would have...
Aww, bless him. He still looks such a happy boy despite his poorly leg. What a lovely boy he is. We all send him lot of love and special whippet kisses, particularly uncle Frankie who is rather fed up of being kept quiet himself with his own recovery! :* :* :*
Ahhh, Bless Woody he looks a real sweetie.
Isn't it sad when they start to seem very old. This happened to our boy Tizer last year. He was very old, we don't know quite what age as he was a rescue, but into his late teens.
He had never had suffered a days ill health but gradually got more...
