Great news - Spud has gone to his new home. He's gone off to live with some lovely people in Kent with 5 acres of land!
Well done Spud - have a happy life

Hello everyone,
Meet Spud. Spud is looking for a new home.
He is a splendid fella and people who know about such things tell me that he is a Bedlington x whippet, with maybe some Collie in there somewhere down the line that has bulked him out a bit.
Spud stands...
Hi Zara, congratulations on rehoming Crystal
I met her a few months ago on the Lurcherlink Clumber park walk, when she was very fluffy and very sore with mange. She certainly looks like a different dog now, I hope all goes well with her ;)
I'm having similar problems with my Ibby, she's very fussy too, she can't afford to be though as she's very thin. I've found that she will eat mince (tripe) with vigour, necks go down a treat, wings took some persuading, but she won't touch the new abattoir meat that I've recently introduced...
Hi Murphy, thanks for the compliment. We've worked the Saluki just a handful of times, he's only been with us since last September and the permission we have is full of brambles, so have to rely on invites. Tilly the Ibizan Hound has only been with us for 3 weeks and is still settling in, but...
aha, that explains it - how awful though, what is the world comming to? Thanks for the info, I think that will be a little too far for me to travel. :(
Hi, apologies if this is listed somewhere else, but I couldn't find anything in search. I wondered if anybody can tell me if there are any lure coursing clubs or events in my area - Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire?
We've got a Saluki and an Ibizan hound who we are keen to have a go with. I've had...
There's a BARF Yahoo group that I've found very informative, you have to email to join, but it's well worth it. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BritBarf/
Good luck with your new regime :))
Taken from "Saluki Ancient Hunting Hound of the Middle East" by Jane Taylor and Sharon Walls.
"Salukis were and are bred in Middle-East as a hunting/companion/guard dog. They primarily hunt by sight, and to a much lesser degree by smell, and thus are very aware of their surroundings. Salukis...
There's two pups up for adoption at Chesterfield RSPCA in Derbyshire, probably too far away for you, but you can find them here: http://www.chesterfield-rspca.org.uk/pages...imals/index.php
Good luck with your search.

Congratulations Linda
He looks stunning, be prepared to turn heads when you take him out :teehee:
And what a fabulous name - I really like it :))
I've also been following your plight with interest, thanks for keeping us posted.
Wobbly
Hmmm, I'm not so sure, as the site has been updated - he was on the 'upcoming dogs' for the required 7 days and then moved to the 'dogs needing homes' page yesterday/today, unless of course this is an automatic thing/clerical error?
I have to agree with you though on the premature...
It looks like Levis owners didn't take him home after all, he's on the 'Dogs Needing Homes' page now :(

Hi
You could try "The Saluki Welfare Fund" they rescue and rehome Salukis and have branches both in the North and South. Look under 'Rescue' here http://www.salukiclub.co.uk/
Good luck :D

Hi
Just thought I'd let you know that we re-homed Zandi and he's now called Milo :)) .
We had to have our Saluki X (Jed 11yrs) put down, because he had a bone tumour in his shoulder. He was also a rescue dog and we'd had him for 8 years. His loss left a huge hole in our family unit that we...
