Glad you are back on the field. Sad to report that little Fynn had Xrays yesterday as he has been uncomfortable round his back end for a while. He has a subluxed right hip with significant arthritic changes. This makes sense to me as he lost form very quickly and we retired him a couple of years...
I have read via Facebook (mentioning no names) that some people think this is a hoax by the NPWRA supporters to scupper the Champs.
Ridiculous to put your dogs at risk uneccassarily.
I am sorry Darcia and Rob, I know the poor little sausage had not been right for a couple of years now, bless him. My thoughts are with you, God bless you Iffy xxxxxxxxxxxxx
This just reminds me why I walked away from the sport.
It's dog racing people, and frankly meant to be an amicable environment for ENJOYMENT. For a second, I succombed to the undertow of seriousness, now, glad to be back in reality and not involved in any bitchy silliness.
Digging your own...
Oh Jane, so sorry to hear this. I know Smoky was a special dog for you and I am remem
bering many a time catching for you and attempting a Smoky lure removal. This is such a sad week, dogs that my Arch raced with moving on. It just makes you realise what a short time they are with you for and...
I am very sorry to hear this Barbara. Archie and Bean often raced together as big show boys and Bean was a very polite dog. My heart goes out to you and Alan, you have done the right thing though, the hardest but kindest thing.
God bless Bean x
So thrilled for you all that it went well and ended up making loads of money for the whippets. Jane, our dogs are in retirement now, so Lloyd isn't photographing now, there are loads of brilliant photographers keeping up the good work though I see. I hope that the funds raised go a long way to...
One of my most favourite places in the world is the field behind the Weyhill Fayre. Wish I had my caravan still, would love to join you all at the week-end. I hope it goes really well and raises a massive amount for a great charity. Lesley and Mark are wonderful people and deserve medals. xxx
OMG the puppies are just delightful. I would love another whhippie pup but not at home as much as I used to be to supervise so not fair. Really enjoyed your photos, even though we are retired, it is nice to see the dogs have a greating time. xx
Such a terrible loss for his owners, I am so sorry to hear this.
Sudden death of a much loved pet is terrible to cope with, especially a young and outwardly fit dog (we lost a much loved Dobe to heart disease at a young age). RIP special whippet.
I won't race mine again, I worry for them too...
