I have met Annette Crosbie a couple of times. She came to the Greyhound March last year.
Personally I think that the 'right thing' is for race dog owners to keep their own dogs as pets when they retire. I don't think people should own greyhounds unless they intend to keep them. There isn't an...
Yes I think it does.
Of course some owners or trainers keep their dogs but if it were as common as people say it is then you would expect to come across them out walking.
If I ever see a greyhound out and about I always go over to meet it and chat with the owner. When I ask where the dog came...
I found this article written by Donal MacIntyre. It mentions the testing labs, Spain etc, and also mentions the fate of pups which was something being questioned here a few days ago.
Not all dogs go to heaven

They could have been out fundraising over the weekend etc...
Perhaps they need to organise a homecheck too? (unless you have had that already?)
Good luck :))
What worries me is Lord Lipsey's view that the solution to the NGRC/BGRB's problem is that the dog owning public should be adopting greyhounds instead of other breeds/crosses. That may go some way to solving Lord Lipsey's problems but it doesn't help the rescue centres and the other breeds in...
