    We need more puppy pictures...

Chunky black bitch will fine out to make the nicest IMO. Good depth & not too much angulation. Dark brindle dog is very eye catching, bottle some sperm from him for us [when he is ready of course!!] :p :p As usual you have reared some lovely pups

    Old time coursing.

Equally amazing is the condition of most of them! When you consider they didn't have high protien completes, methionine, white E etc. That "Lady Barton" is in fantastic condition. Suppose they got plenty of beef out in the west though.

Have a cheetah ever exhibited at coursing meet?

Is that "Vulpes Vulpes" or do you have your very own red fox " Canis Vulpes Yankees"? English whippets bring foxes down all the time (ours do anyway). English Whippets also do roebuck, being less bloodthirsty & more sporting than our trans- Atlantic brethren I doubt if we put them against the...

My whipster got run over!! :-(

Hope she keeps doing OK Vicky!! Is the hip operation necessary? Years ago I ran over a stray (unintentionally) & dislocated her hip. Because she wasn't mine at that time I couldn't sign consent forms for an op. The vet told me she would make a "false joint" in time. Dogs don't actually have an...

    Very sad news

This is a terrible stroke of luck especially so soon after Pipers break. The words we offer at times like this never say enough. Terry & Sheila

    Breed Poll

Those little Sicilian things Cirecencos? are supposed to course & mark the rabbit at ground. Think Pharaoh hounds are supposed to work like this too. Maybe there should be three sections like HPR gundogs.

    greyhound&whippet megastore scratch championship

I suppose this should really be in general discussion & I know I'm very late coming into it. However ,there are lot's of show bred peds over 35 pounds. I saw one go round Ellesmere Port in a good time recently & when I picked him up he surprised me. We have one 33 lbs & this one felt much...

    Wanted experience for poorly dog!!!!

Can't help you with the E.midlands but there are 3 specialists in the Grtr Manchester area. Our youngest threw what looked like a stroke at about 14 mo. It cleared up within 8 hours & touch wood hasn't recurred, but it was very worrying! I've heard of epilepsy in other breeds but never...

    Lures

BSFA meets are continous loop & are based on the yankee model. The chap who started it John (forgot his 2nd name) was the chap who did all the effects for the Bond, Star Wars films. He saw LC in the states & got hooked. He was obviously a genius & he threw a few touch's of his own in but...

Keith Earnshaw deserves deserves a big well done for having the gut's to enter his dog Dino in a time handicap. Dino rewarded him by lifting the handsome Whisterfield Trophy kindly donated by Angela Bayley. You have to admire them both to come down to Gin Pit when they could have been racing...

    Swimming Pools/Whippets/Temperature

An Australian guy once tried to sell us a franchise for portable spa. He said they where a big thing as a wind down on G/hnd tracks over there. He reckoned the big secret was the temprature. Because dogs have a higher body temprature than us what seems reasonable to us is cold to them...
