Yes Alfie wet his bed a while ago, turned out he had a swollen prostate and a bladder infection so probably a wise move seeing the vet. As for the sample I didn't bother with the coat hanger, just washed my hands throughly after! :x
Raw tripe, raw beef/lamb heart, raw beef mince, raw turkey chunks all with a cube of raw blended vegetables. Due to the rising cost of meat we now add a small amount of mixer biscuit. Chicken wings, sardines, tuna. Tinned Butchers Tripe as a treat now and again. And Burns Fish and Brown Rice...
Thanks that is just what I need I think, and he will still be able to drink from the river... all I have to decide is red or white... :teehee:  o no wait I found a black one!
I need some advice on muzzles. Alfie has to wear a muzzle off lead as he can be a naughty boy with other dogs o:) . At the moment he wears the bog standard muzzle, which doesn't allow him much room to pant so I have to put him back on his lead often so I can relieve him of his muzzle.
I've...
When Alfie doesn't have a chicken wing for breakfast he has a piece of oxtail, they take far longer to eat and involve a lot of chewing which must knock quite a bit of plaque off, well I hope so! :clown:
Alfie doesn't like the ironing board, I think the noise it makes opening/closing scared him when he was a pup, he leaves the room when it's ironing time... or if he has to pass the ironing board he rushes by with his head down
Alfie gets the BARF diet, but I'm intrigued that a lot of people are adding biscuit to the raw meat. I personally don't but I would like to know why others do.... is it to bulk up the meal, or so less meat is needed per feed? Or does it contain something that is missing from the BARF diet?
Just wanted to add in the past we've been with and claimed off of M&S and MoreThan for Alfie and they've paid up no quibbles. I think figures were around £600 for each.
Alfie is now over 7 and we have just renewed with Tesco insurance, they worked out at about £18 a month. All the other quotes were unbelievably expensive or demanded 20-25% of the vet bill plus the excess. Tesco was all we could reasonably afford in the end, I dread to think what quotes we'll...
I can't believe anyone would gladly punish the majority for the minority's actions!
And I agree I worry more about all the human waste on the beach and sewage washing up in the sea before dog muck!
