Hiy
Lately, Hugo has been playing with his new toy, a MASSIVE dog bean bag type thing. It's about as long as a 1 year old (human) bassically and around as tall as a small bunny. Sort of a pillow, really. Anyway, he likes to bite her and sometimes sleep near her and past few weeks he's been...
Hello all,
I know puppy biting is normal, and all of them do it but with my 3month old cocker spaniel, it is more than anoying. He doesn't bite when he's tired, only then he's full of energy, which still is normal. He bites alot, and grabs onto clothing. We yelp, we replace with toy, but that...
True, true. What I am getting alot is that it's best not to let them together, from multiple people. I will train him more and try when he's at least 6 months, but if it doesn't work out, I guess I'll have to live.
Well, he is a spaniel, and spaniels are not the calmest of dogs! About the nipping, leave him, ignore him, throw him a toy and walk away. My sister, runs away when the puppy nips and her and then the doggo just thinks its a game! With dogs, positive reinforcment is always the best way. The thing...
It is pretty cruel I guess, but still a pet FOX... can't they just have bred the nicest of foxes, to create a fox dog? But tbh I don't understand much from that text XD just thougt it was interesting ;) Also, just looked at the picture of Vinnie taking the sandwhich, he looks the most beaghtiful...
Thanks for this, it was indeed helpful! Hugo is a cocker spaniel (a gun dog) used to retrieve birds for hunters, but, he does seem to enjoy chasing a toy around rapidly whilst a drag it around the carpet. He also really gets into chasing games outdoors. Are these signs of a hunter? He is an 11...
It's pretty nice you got to train terriers and ferrets together! I had one called Marlo when I was little and he killed my hamster :( They are natural rat-mouse catchers... (ノ・_-)☆
He's a handsome boy! So healthy looking too. Foxes are so underated... if you really get to know one, they turn out to be the sweetest things. When I was 11 we had a fox who used to come to the door every day after tea and we'd feed him the leftovers. He wouldn't eat from our hand like Vinnie...
Thanks! And, even if it does somehow work out, I'll be supervising them all the time, never alone together.... my cats basically moved to my nieghbers house because of the puppy, only coming in for food poor things.. but they were already VERY outdoorsy cats.
Yes, that seems understandable. I'll just see how he goes, then if he reacts badly then I'll probably just have to live with it. It may also depend on how the ratties react I guess.. they seem pretty curious, when behind bars but, Hugo once jumped up on the couch and barked which scared the life...
Tysm for the advice, I just can't tell how Hugo will react, all dogs are indivisuals. I tried yesterday picking him up and holding him by the cage, the rats seemed very curiouse. Hugo, almost didn't notice them XD, once he did, he looked for a while, ears perked, then started to whine and sqirm...
I recently got a puppy, and I really want him to get along with our 2 pet rats. When we had murpy, our old dog, we had alot of trouble introducing our rats to him, (not the same rats) which was a problem as I like to keep lots of rats, at one point we had 6 at one time. Anyway I really wan't to...
