My mum and dad are visiting for their annual dog show holiday and we have just had a fantastic weekend.  Dino and Jillie's babies made their debut with a splash and the older dogs showed 'em what to hope for in the future.

We are over the moon to win a RIS under a fellow whippeteer.  "Cara" is now the third of her siblings to have won either a BIS or RIS All Breeds Champ show.  I am one very happy camper.  Cara pictured below.

Having show withdrawals Have not been to a show for ages as most of the shows are a fair distance to travel & with the babies, we are just hanging at home.

But, have had a couple of nice texts from people showing dogs I have bred, the most exciting is Master Ben - he is Brie's brother & is shown by his daddies who are novices (or rather, novices when the got Ben who is now 2yrs old, so still relative newbies :blink: )

Anyway, was exciting last weekend getting texts from Hank who piloted Ben to 2 Best Of Breeds :thumbsup: Ben is now sitting on 7 CC's and needs one more to be a NZ Champion :wub:

You will all hear the celebrations when that final CC is gained - Ben has quite a following which is awesome for his owners, it is a hard breed to be in for newcomers with very experienced handlers & well known judges - I have promised the boys a bottle of Moet when they get # 8 - it that aint motivation, I don't know what is :lol: :teehee:

Congratulations Lana and also to your parents on a wonderful weekend with the whippets. I have only just caught up with the news after another stressful weekend here.

Mum had yet another serious fall on Friday the 3rd within the past 11 months, she was admitted to hospital and will be weeks to months before they let her home so between running her farm (which I always do), going to her residence to feed her animals and visiting mum in hospital and then looking after my 20 k9's I feel my resilience is wearing thin and I am on a downward spiral. :x Won't be any energy left for showing dogs.

But you know how it goes - from the penthouse to the poorhouse - so we could be brought back to earth with a serious thud.

Sorry to hear about the troubles with your mum Noelene. You really do have your work cut out for you. Hope things ease up soon.

Just on Saturday results though in the baby puppies, Tequila (Cheshunt Creme Tequila was 2nd with Lyric (Corridale Cover Story) 3rd. Was pleased with Amigo's two Junior In Group wins over the weekend.

Looking forward Lynda to seeing those puppies of yours out in the ring and reading about their great results at their first show :cheers: and of course here's to Ben's and Hanks final CC hope it's very soon. :thumbsup:

I just had to let you all know that Dusty AKA (Auriway Touch O Flare) gained is Aust Title on Sat at Red Cliffs District Kennel Club Vic. He has done such a great job for a young dog.
