Fred and Stan met up with Muffin and Jonah again today. We all enjoyed a stroll through a lovely dale, following a winding river, bordered by wildflower meadows. Oh, and we came across a few bridges too.

Here's Fred leading the way through the woods and alerting us to the presence of a herd of cows…which way round them he wonders?

Back on the lead they all go…

They’re lying down..it’s going to rain!

A lovely vista opened out in front of us, so we had to stop and take photos…

Muffin making the most of his mum being distracted and nosing for biscuits..

We spied a picturesque weir....

And lots of yellow…

Yellow Flag Irises..

Yellow buttercups..

It was all so yellow that Muffin had a giddy five minutes…(hopeless action shots to follow):

And last but not least we spied bridges…

Gillian not knowing which way to aim her camera first…

Finally we retraced our steps back along the dale…here are a few more of the boys..

It did start to rain half way round…hence rather wet dogs at end of walk. The cows knew all along..!

That was lovely, re-living our walk this morning - some really nice shots there. :thumbsup: A very enjoyable, if rather yellow, stroll along Monsal Dale!

What a lovely walks you have, and how great to have good company for them. The boys are looking gorgeous as always :wub: Our flag irises are over in Devon, now we are on to elderflowers, honeysuckle and wild roses in the hedgerows, almost high summer.

Beautiful pictures ) We stayed in Derbyshire a couple of years ago before we got the dogs but I would love to take them back again. Not too far from us, either.
