I met up with Gillian and the boys yesterday. Not the usual venue, we thought we'd try out a dales walk instead. The scenery is very different to the moorland hills where we live (dark peak), but that's what's so wonderful about Derbyshire...you don't have to go too far to enjoy the white peak and limestone dales.

We even had some sunshine on the walk :teehee:

Muffin in his coat...there was still a cold wind, despite the sunshine....winter's not quite over yet...

It was very muddy in places but at least the path wasn't below the water, as is often the case...

Muffin used avoidance tactics at these points...

The limestone dale walls are quite steep in places...looking back towards the dale basin..

The walk goes past some converted mills. Once derelict...now converted into luxury apartments.

Muffin quite fancies living here.....can we go in for a bowl of milky tea?

Heading back up the dale along the meandering brook..

Muffin enjoyed his walk....his tail says it all..

Fred stayed at home keeping the OH warm who has sleeping off his night shift...

You took some really nice photos there in spite of it being a bit dark! I seem to feature on rather too many :- I never seem to spot you taking my photo :lol: I decided to post mine on Facebook as I didn't have many whippet ones to post on here and things seem to get a bit lost on Chit Chat. Looking forward to some more dales walks :thumbsup:
