A Way To Stop Telemarketers From Calling You..

thats hillarious, we had a conservatory company calling once to ask about conservatorys and my OH went along with them and they got to the point when they were asking him for his address to get guy out to give a quote he said flat 6 10th floor ........... the person on the floor was like, wait 10th floor how do you expect us to do it on the 10th floor. he said i dont know you phoned me you should know where your calling im in high rise flats i thought you had maybe thought up some amazing way to put them on high rises and thats why you were calling. they said dont be stupid. he said DONT BE STUPID YOUR THE ONE THAT PHONEING ME WANTING TO PUT A CONSEVATORY ON THE 10TH FLOOR AND YOUR CALLING ME STUPID. they quickly hung up.
i hate it when they phone trying to sell you somthing and theres this new one that phones us now and they are in india or somwhere and theres a delay between you speaking to them and them speaking back a computer can tell them how to reply as they dont understand english. its a joke!

Upsetting telemarketers is my OH's hobby. :lol:
He has a variety of ruses when they call, probably the best to date was when he warmly welcomed their call and told them he was so glad they'd rung as he was selling his car, he then proceeded to give a full run down of the cars features and strong points. He highlighted how useful it would be to them and concluded by asking if they were interested. To which they replied, "No!"
"Well I'm not interested in your unsolicited offer either!" was OH's reply before hanging up on them.
About 10 minutes later the phone rang and the caller asked for more details about the car he'd heard we were selling!!!
At least they had taken it in good humour. (w00t) (w00t)
With the foreign callers who pretend they are called Peter or Jane he convinces them to tell them their real name and then tells them he can't possibly do business with someone who has already lied to him.
