Been out with the camera again today and tried different settings - any better?

Alfie and Ruby are as daft as each other! :clown:

Brilliant pic's...........nice and clear

Thanks Keith - i thought so too

They're fantastic!

Alfie is a right skinny thing after his 'holiday'

You'd get some good photos if Alfie's best mate Logan had been there too :- "

Alot sharper i would say  that second picture with Alfie and Ruby is brilliant i love the way Alfie looks to camera very artistic :))

Yes, Alfie has just come home after a week in kennels and is looking very skinny. He can be a picky eater at the best of times so obviously used his holidays as an excuse to starve himself.

Conor (my little boy) said today - "why has Alfie got a hump on his back like a camel!! )

Love the 3rd with whippy going face full on into the thistles - Doh!!

What camera etc are u using? Since I don't get on here much these days, So I haven't seen earlier posts/ threads.

Very interested to assist, as I do (well - try to!) action stuff myself -

Gear here Canon 30D + 100 - 400 L USM 5.6 (Big white House brick)!

and with 5 frames per second is fantastic for dog racing - if you can keep up with them that is - Loads of pics of "half a dog" !

It's a Nikon D40X - our first proper camera so we're just learning to get to grips with it. It does 3 frames per sec. Have no knowledge of photography whatsoever, we're enjoying learning and hope to improve!!

Really great pix, :huggles:

They are sharper Jo and nice shots, but I really did like your first set of photos. I think there is quite a skill involved in getting action shots to look deliberately blurred in the right places. You have to pan carefully at the right shutter speed, otherwise everything just looks a blur. Whatever you did first time around...the result was very good :D

Lovely to see photos of your crew...keep snapping

Superb pics and don't your dogs look fit    gorgeous shiney glossy coats :huggles:

Great pictures, well done Jo
