We are at the moment a 4 whippet family... just before christmas someone put an article on here about a whippet wanting a home at a rescue... anyhow I clicked onto some of the links and ended up on another rescue website where I saw a photograph of a sad little cocker cross 1 year old had been left in a flat after the people moved out leaving her to starve to death... I could'nt get her little face out of my mind and on christmas eve my husband agreed to me asking to adopt her. We have been told today that we are going to be home-vetted....

so watch this space! will post photograps when things are signed and sealed....

Is that Daisy from Many Tears? I know her details said she'd been left inside a flat when the owners moved out, she looks very pretty and very sad. I do hope you get her!

NO IT'S SOPHIE!...... AND WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR OUR HOME-CHECK!

I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE FOSTERER, WHO IS VERY HAPPY FOR US TO ADOPT HER.

WE WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE COLLECTED HER THIS WEEKEND, BUT THAT LOOKS UNLIKELY NOW.... THE FOSTERER HAS HAD HER FOR 10 DAYS NOW AND IS ANXIOUS THAT SHE DOES NOT GET TOO SETTLED... SHE IS STILL VERY THIN AND BEING FED 4 TIMES PER DAY, SHE IS APPARENTLY A LOT MORE LIKE A YEAR OLD DOG SHOULD BE... FOSTERER SAID SHE WAS LIKE A 15 YEAR OLD DOG WHEN SHE ARRIVED TO STAY WITH HER, AND STUNK WORSE THAN A FERRET!!!!

WILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED THOUGH!

Home-check this morning!!!!!!!

Hope to collect her on Saturday....... :))

Husband... not too sure now????????

MEN!

Good luck, I hope everything goes well for you. :D

My partner was a bit unsure about things when we got our puppy but I came home yesterday and found them both curled up on the sofa together asleep! :- "

Ohhhhh!

I know he will be ok... He just thinks that he is going to have to do all the walking.

He is working quite far from home, leaves at 5.30am gets home 6.00pm he enjoys walking them, but perhaps feels I should do more of the excersising... I walk them for about 30 mins, whereas he walks them for about 5-6 miles........ He can take them all out together, I can't... they pulled me over one day, since then I have walked them in pairs... and I avoid other dogs like the plague because, as a pack they are agressive towards other dogs. You would'nt think that if you could see them all curled up asleep in fron of the fire together! Walked one in a muzzle for the first time last night, he normally pulls like mad, GOD he was like a different dog, walked by my side all the way, only a fabric muzzle.
