He is soooooooooo bad!!!
There we were, out for a nice walk along the river bank in the sunshine yesterday afternoon. We get to the part which runs past the back of the 'big' shops like Harveys and Matalan and all 6 are mooching along ahead of me when, all of sudden, they all take off at top speed!!! :- "
What's that all about, I think. So I whistle and back comes Ronan and Angel. We walk on a bit and I whistle a couple of times more, Sophie and Aimee also return (panting quite a bit), we walk on further and I whistle a few more times ...........nothing. By now I am at the end of the footpath by the river and I have a choice, left over the bridge in the Housing Association complex, right into Matalan car park or straight on through a shrub border onto the busy A33 (rush hour traffic flowing quite fast). Can I see Rupert and Bertha ..................... no.
I am beginning to get concerned now so whistled a few more times whilst trying to decide which way I think they may have gone and where they are likely to appear from, when I spot a young lad in Matalan car park obviously on the look-out. So as I look at him he shouts to me, have I lost any dogs. Yes, I reply. How many, he asks. Two, I reply, walking towards him. And, at that moment, from around the front of Matalan comes a Security Guard and a Matalan employee with Rupert and Bertha held firmly by their collars. :teehee: Apparently they had been racing around INSIDE Matalan!!!!! (w00t) And judging by the way they were panting they had, indeed, been racing around!!
Needless to say, I was very apologetic (whilst hoping to God Rupert hadn't cocked his leg on anything in the shop!) :b , Angel was very pleased to see her errant children and the Matalan people thought it highly amusing :sweating: Phew!
Bertha looked suitably guilty as I put them on their leads but Rupert? Was he bovvered?? Nah! I just got the look that said "So just what IS your problem???" and we returned home the way from whence we had come with no further misdemeanours!!!
Just a day in the normal life of Rupert, really o
