hi all just a bit of advice took lola and harvey for there afternoon walk and harvey ran ito lola sort of side on and lola stumbled down a bit of a bank i diddnt think any thing about it as she seemed fine but when we got home she started to limp and now she cant put any weight on it now . what do you think i dont want to just rush of to the vets . :(

Hiya,

I wouldn't panic just yet, it's probably just briused.

you could try applying an ice pack a few times an hour for a few hours that will help keep any swelling down and if you've got any give her some Arnica 6 tablets (don't worry if you havn't) if she's not better in the morning then maybe then think about taking her to the vets.

sorry about Lola - hope shes better tomorrow. :luck: :luck:

Hope she is better soon. I thought Robbie had broken his knee, but after 2 day's he was running around normal. Hope she is the same :D

Hope she gets well soon :huggles: :luck: :luck:

Hope she's on the mend.

Don't panic just yet, she may be just bruised as Mark said.

When Annie was younger she would knock her legs on something or another fairly regular and be lame for a day or two. She used to scare me when she leapt around like a nutcase and very often she would fall over or collide into Alfie resulting in a sore leg. Think it was the wobbly, gangly puppy stage when she would hurt herself, infact most of the time up until around 5 months of age.

Must say she is now nearly 8 months and a bit more quieter. She has good strength and balance now and has'nt been lame for months.

If I had rushed to the vets every time she went lame I would have been there every week. (w00t)

Awwwwwwwwwwwww! Big :huggles: :huggles: and   to Lola!

Hi tina hope she gets better soon. Sure she will be fine bit of bruiser and wanting a bit extra fuss is the usual thing so give her the fuss and let her make the most of it. Henry.

Hello everyone. Im new here and dont really know my way around this site! We used to have a whippet that if you said to her" aw have you got a bad leg " she used to limp! So i think they can put it on a bit if they have been getting extra fuss. I have just broght a lurcher on wednesday and she has just had her injection(very brave). I also have a 2 year old border collie and they are getting on great. :))

Big :huggles: to Lola........ hope you feel a lot better soon.
