Alfie was back at the vets in St Monans today for his final check up (it's just over six weeks since his operation). It went really well - the vet said he has made excellent progress and he is really happy with the way the bones have healed. It was great to see the x-ray today with everything looking so good. The vet was pleased with the way he was walking and with the range of movement in the joint so he can now start back on some gentle exercise and build it up over the next few weeks and months. I'm so pleased ... it's been hard going for the poor wee guy at times being stuck in the house all day every day. Alfie is still really dopey from his sedation this afternoon so he's very cuddly, sleepy and cute at the moment. First walk will be tomorrow - just a short one but I'm sure he'll love it

Alfie has been so lucky to have such a special family that I am sure has really helped in his recovery.
