Izzy was bitten by an Alsation last Saturday in a playing field near our home

John saw it off lead an asked the owners if it would be OK with Iz, they told him it was friendly!

Izzy is Ok but we had to have a trip to the emergency vet and she needed 13 stitches.

Poor little thing wondered what had happened, she hasn't a nasty bone in her body. Just when her other leg was getting back to health with her cuciate ligament.......

Poor Izzy. It sounds all to familiar. Murphy was bitten last month. I just wish people would learn to control their dogs properly. Izzy will be back to normal in no time. I just hope she remains herself around other dogs as if that happened to me I know I would be really wary.

Thanks guys, I am going to report it (I hadn't) to the warden and local community police. It could do it again, and for all I know have done it before?

It should be on a lead and muzzled.

We don't know who the people are as John had Izzy out on his own, he just scooped her up and ran back to the car to get her to the vets asap when it happened.

We are now looking for them as they need to know what their dog did, and I agree they should pay the bill, or at least offer!
