A tanker crashed out of control in our village this morning, down a steel bank over the railway line and onto the railway. It was a gas tanker.....I dont believe how all these things happen in a small village like ours lately. the driver was airlifted to hospital and is in a critical state ....

An area has been cordened off yet again......luckily a little farther away from our house this time.

but the street was like a war zone again this morning....about 7 fire engines and god knows how many police cars.....sirens etc..

it was quite scary especially after the last events... (w00t) :( Ive just come in from work and was glad to see I was allowed to go back to my house this time. :))

At the weekend a 19 year old swimming attendent collapsed and died in our local pool just up the road from us...and a few weeks ago a motor cyclist killed when he went through a fence just outside the village.. :(

Im wondering if we should move.... :(

 That must have been a nasty shock. Hopefully you won't have to be evacuated or anything. Thank Heaven it didn't come down in front of a train. :luck: :huggles:

Yes Trac, I was just going to post....how sad..saw it on the latest news....only young too... :( RIP

the tanker is still being recovered ...it is very difficult to get the equipment needed down under the bridge to get to the vehicle to upright it again and transfer the gas to another cylinder...

my sister and her partner lives just on the edge of the no go zone....
