Yes, they go just about anywhere - maybe catching a mouse in the dunes?

There's different types - sparrowhawk, buzzard, falcon, kite etc. Could have

been any one of those!!

It was more like a hawk i think, brown all

over though no lighter head or anything

Wish some birds of prey would dive bomb me. When you're looking for them they're practically extinct (i.e. getting good wildlife shots) :angry:
 
Definitely sounds like a buzzard :thumbsup: They're the UK's commonest bird of prey and we have loads of them up here - I had two circling over Alnwick Castle this morning at 7.30am in the pouring rain......very bizarre because I thought they weren't too keen on getting soaked :D
