Hi. went out this morning about 12-45 with jill, i havent got a lamp, i use my mates when were out together, so i just use a high powered torch, so i drives down to my permission land, not to far away, lets jill out the car and off we go, she loves it, so do i, next thing she's givin tongue, i dont like that in my dogs,, but only does it when she's after quarry other than bunnies, so i was on my guard, next min i heard her yelp, was aful, i found her sparked out, sh'ed hit a fence, i cannot begin to tell you what that sight did to me, i screamed out like a lunatic, picked her up, and believe u me the asdrenalin pumped through my body like the clappers, carried her to the car and she began to come round, im not a religiouse man, but thank the lord, by the time i got her home she was ok, but on checking her out, she'd lost half of a front tooth, and gums swollen, had her to the vets, he's treated her, i have to ring him up if the swelling hasnt subsided by this time tomoz, u see the thing is with jill, soon as it becomes dark, she wants out.

I will finish by saying this, she's the bestest thing thats ever entered my life for as long as i can ever remember, if wewas confronted by an oncoming scammel doin 100 mph with no escape, id let the fecker take us both out, cos i cudnt live without her, and i do believe she couldnt live without me

I hope Jill is ok Keith you'll have to get a lamp so that this could be avoided in future.

I've got a lump in my throat reading this, Keithy :( It's making my eyes water.

I can't tell you how glad I am that Jill is OK as I know what that feeling of dread is like as you rush to help them.

And as for the oncoming HGV.... I'd do the same. I love Jinny so much.

:luck: :luck: and lots of :huggles: :huggles: for Jilly xx

Keith,

This reminds me of being out walking with my greyhound, the late Rosie. I thought it was safe to let her off the lead, normally her recall was good. But then three roe deer came through the hedge in front of us. Rosie turned the buck and that was the last I saw of her until after a hour or so tramp I found her lying on top of the drain bank. [We have very big drains/dykes here] I thnk the buck must have sprung across the drain and Rosie following at such a pace hit the steep bank. She had damaged her neck [which she did eventually recover from], but it meant she had me so worried. She couldn't jump back in the car and had to be lifted which she hated, and then all the trauma of the trip to the vet.

I really feel for you Keith as I know you love Jill to bits.

God what a fright you must have got Keith! Poor Jill too, hope she makes a speedy recovery. The bond you have with her shines through in all your posts. Tell Jill she has to take things easy for today, and you too. :huggles:
